Angelou Deign has written, cast and produced shows for some of Hollywood’s biggest legends; from Dick Clark to Regis Philbin. Those shows include, The American Music Awards, The Daytime Emmys, Kids Say The Darndest Things and Million Dollar Password.

She began her entertainment career writing and producing music as the lead singer of a musical group signed to Columbia Records.  During which time, she wrote commercial jingles and video treatments for the likes of P. Diddy and Boyz II Men.  Her musical ear and understanding of talent made a perfect fit when she made the leap to casting and producing shows like CBS’s “Star Search” and “Your Big Break“.

In 2001, Angelou became the youngest Executive In Charge of Talent at NBC for the syndicated show, The Weakest Link.

Three years later, she was chosen to head Chinese, media-legend, Yue-Sai Kan’s Production Company.  During which time, she traveled the globe, overseeing the celebrity docu-series, “Yue-Sai’s World” and interviewed the likes of famed violinist, Itzhak Perlman, members of the Royal Family, to singer, Usher.

Upon returning to Los Angeles, Angelou headed the Casting Department of several shows for Fremantle Media North America. In addition, she continued to work with NBC on “The Singing Bee“, “Spartan Race” and “American Ninja Warrior“.
